Megan Clubb, president and CEO of Baker Boyer Bank, was one of 16 women honored at the 2009 Women of Influence Awards banquet in Bellevue November 19. Clubb was the only honoree from outside the Puget Sound region. The annual event raised over $5,000 for a college scholarship for a woman student.
The soldout event was attended by more than 500 people. The finalists included leaders from Northwest corporations, non-profit organizations, foundations and the health care sector. They were chosen for their ability to impact others, their leadership and their commitment to their communities.
The annual event raises over $5,000 for a college scholarship. Each honoree was introduced and asked to speak about themselves and then answer a question about their career, values or philosophy on mentoring. Clubb honored her late parents and Jean Ferguson for being outstanding role models on how to give back to the community and teaching her to always operate in an honest and open manner.
"While this is a great honor, my successes at Baker Boyer Bank and in the community have been due to the support of the tremendous people I have been privilaged to work with. When you have the support of organizations like the Walla Walla Watershed Alliance and other groups you have the opportunity to follow your passion and make a difference."
